最近、夜中に表で人の声や車の光で何だろうと思うことがあります。昨夜も横になっていたら人の声と車のドアを開け閉めする音で目が覚めました。どうやら道路の向かい側に設置されたベンチに若者が数人すわって談笑しているよう。窓を開けて様子を見るのも怖いのでじっと横になったまま様子を伺っていました。近所に若者などいないところに若い男女が車でやってきてベンチに座って談笑してしばらくするとどこかへ行ってしまうだけなのですが、何とも落ち着きません。車のドアの音が何回もしていたので二人や三人ではなかったようです。しばらくすると静かになったのでほっとしていたら、今度はまた別の人たちが来たようでそれは車一台でさっきよりも静かな感じでした。何を話しているのかまでは聞き取れませんが、確かなのはその間こちらはずっと眠れずに心許ない思いでいることです。時計を見たら午前2時過ぎでした。今朝は眠くてなりません。
Recently, there are times I wonder what is happening on the street when I hear people's voice or light from a car in the middle of the night. Last night when I was already in bed, I woke up to the sound of opening and closing car doors and talking of a group. It seemed that young people were sitting and talking on the bench in the street in front of my house. I was afraid of opening the window to check what was going on, so I just stayed in bed without any noise. Usually young people are not around in my neighborhood so I was very uncomfortable with this situation even if they were just chatting and left. Since I heard several times the sound of opening and closing car doors, I am sure there were five or six people gathering. After a while, it seemed they had gone, so I was relieved. Then another group came to the same spot. It was much quieter than the first group. I couldn't hear what they were talking, but It was certain that I couldn't sleep at all while they were around. I saw the clock. It was just after 2 am. I have been very sleepy since this morning because of the incident.
