I expected it to rain this morning, but luckily it wasn't raining when I woke up, so I went out with a simple outfit. The earth and trees absorbed much rain which had heavily fallen in previous days. I went to the shrine first, then to the woods of the shrine. A year and a half ago, coronavirus started spreading and it is the second summer which has been unsettling. On top of that, we are depressed by the news of disastrous flood damage in southern Japan. The stream and green of the trees makes me calm and soothes me. I am thankful for the beautiful nature of the woods.
