三幅對に関する情報をアメリカ、ウェルズリー大学のYuan-Chu Ruby Lam名誉教授が送って下さいました。掛け軸が納めてある木箱に書付けが貼ってあり、そこに「光格天皇」の名前を見つけ、websiteを送って下さったのです。どの時代の天皇かを知ることができました。光格天皇（1771-1840)の名前の右に、閑院宮典仁親王（かんいんのみや・すけひと・しんのう）とあるのは慶光（きょうこう）天皇（1733-1794)の別の呼び名で、光格天皇の父君でした。一つ気になるのは慶光でなくて光慶天皇と漢字が反対になっていることです。慶光天皇（享保１８年〜寛政６年）が江戸時代にこの掛け軸をご覧になって「御賛」つまりお褒めになったという意味でしょうか。「源通根卿之筆」とあり、この方のことや、上に書いてある和歌のことはまだ分かりませんが、本物だとしたら２７０年ほど前の掛け軸の素晴らしさに感嘆するばかりです。Yuan-Chu Ruby Lam, Wellesley College emeritus professor currently in the US, kindly sent a link to a website with information about three hanging scrolls which I introduced on Jan. 5th. She found the name of "Emperor Koukaku" on the paper attached to the wooden box for the scrolls. Koukaku Tennoh(1771-1840) was the 119th Emperor in Edo period. On the right of his name, we can recognize the name of "閑院宮典仁親王 (Kan'in-no-miya Sukehito shin'noh). According to the net info., he is the same person as "慶光天皇（Emperor Kyokoh 1733-1794) and the father of Emperor Koukaku. I guess that it should be "慶光天皇” but it is written as "光慶天皇”. Anyhow, it said that Emperor Kyokoh looked at these scrolls and appreciated them. I still don't know about the painter and the meaning of the poems on the scrolls but the website from Prof. Lam was very helpful for me to figure out the age of those scrolls. I can not guarantee if those are original, but it is amazing to be able to appreciate these beautiful scrolls which were from 270 years ago.
