Since I agreed and cooperated with her activity by collecting signatures from others, she came to my cafe and gave me two eggs of silky fowl. I've never seen or heard the name of a silky fowl.It was larger than a quail egg but smaller than a regular egg. <br /><br /> <span> </span>According to the net info., the silky fowl is a kind of chicken and all of its skin, internal organs and bones are black. In general it lays an egg once a week, so it is very expensive. One egg of this small silky fowl is worth a case of regular eggs. It is said there is four times more folic acid than a regular egg in a silky fowl and this functions in making red blood cells. That means it is good for blood formation.<br /><br /><span> </span><span> </span>I wanted to take a photo of the inside of this egg, but I failed to crack it and the shape was distorted.<br />However, a part of it still remained in the shape and when I touched the yolk, it was elastic. I fried it with a little olive oil. It was rich and good of course.<br /><br /><span> </span>I have one more rare expensive silky fowl egg left. F.L. Wright was a great American modern architect who is famous for designing the Imperial Hotel in Japan.<br /><br /> <span> </span>Various architectures by Wright which adapted to the natural terrain were divided in seven themes, and well exhibited with explanations, photos and beautiful blueprints. Wright collected many Ukiyoe (Japanese wood prints in Edo period) and got many inspirations from them in his motif and composition. I was impressed by his horizontal lines. It is such a beautiful and tough structure which withstood the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923. Artistically, culturally and structurally, Wright's work addresses current issues, so the exhibition got people's attention from architects to common people and the museum was so crowded that you couldn't get tickets to enter easily. <br /><br /> <span> </span>According to the brochure, more than 50,000 documents and materials in the US were researched and organized by people from both US and Japan. Dr. Ken Tadashi Oshima, Professor/Director of History Theory, Deprt. of Architecture of Univ. of Washington, is the person who planned and curated this exhibition. As a matter of fact, he was a student of my Japanese class at Harvard a long time ago, and he took care of my ticket to visit the exhibition. Ms. Emiko Omura of the Panasonic Museum, said to me that Prof. Oshima is an expert in the Architecture History of Japan-U.S. Exchange, and he is respected by many related people as a warm, trustworthy person.<br /><br /> <span> </span>I am grateful to learn about F.L.Wright in this exhibition and to know that Oshima-san became such a respectable professor, and I am very proud of him.<br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga2v8fJbKKs6UAu0HRdqX3liRv_DkGTkghJ-dmnlCHsN4zj7P-bJ2EO3geh4UOZWr0u5U5nrfCyXwIGlj5lbicZ85mt603nJaftlszNrbG3_E5uYWoYI3GhgsXGO6ZET9orbwQjwCcLLN7TQZzpS5d3RyL-VTnYXbYOVlwbYdu8vGFl0ZccY4OfrvLsFNB/s4000/%E5%AF%8C%E5%A3%AB%E5%B1%B1.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga2v8fJbKKs6UAu0HRdqX3liRv_DkGTkghJ-dmnlCHsN4zj7P-bJ2EO3geh4UOZWr0u5U5nrfCyXwIGlj5lbicZ85mt603nJaftlszNrbG3_E5uYWoYI3GhgsXGO6ZET9orbwQjwCcLLN7TQZzpS5d3RyL-VTnYXbYOVlwbYdu8vGFl0ZccY4OfrvLsFNB/w400-h200/%E5%AF%8C%E5%A3%AB%E5%B1%B1.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg68559XC4c16DiSzLmKy8uYZkHioRIAELv54P-ntwjWDnhRPBLWqOINEY2Bc256RgVWEm3akpwsPTEf0_mw7YbPXpv_ynfyYJt3hcRjjUwhCLvQh-y7ZfvtSJcwo1CgfjqIZhpE6vXJIdprup2bEQi7VbBoQhZKk8Fay8l1YhGy7_VXTMjvRYeF4Qr_m2_/s4000/%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%83%88%E3%83%8F%E3%82%9A%E3%83%B3%E3%83%95.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg68559XC4c16DiSzLmKy8uYZkHioRIAELv54P-ntwjWDnhRPBLWqOINEY2Bc256RgVWEm3akpwsPTEf0_mw7YbPXpv_ynfyYJt3hcRjjUwhCLvQh-y7ZfvtSJcwo1CgfjqIZhpE6vXJIdprup2bEQi7VbBoQhZKk8Fay8l1YhGy7_VXTMjvRYeF4Qr_m2_/w200-h400/%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%83%88%E3%83%8F%E3%82%9A%E3%83%B3%E3%83%95.JPG" /></a><br /></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVfLLTIWS1Rwhtf1GLf1eg1hgeZk_bvhvLcvwmE8ny5GSQ99d1daMy2ddlJ25_EcNelDZ_cg6bxh3FvumXHy8io1ivwjZIhGcLbFwxNnJzapwABWT-3p6C58Qz218BvKiF2qnTl7yh2ruUnRXrJ-cg-3iDqHxot5Cy3h7s0bZJiMVIZnmB_xtOofRqoSJh/s4000/%E6%B1%90%E7%95%99%E7%BE%8E%E8%A1%93%E9%A4%A8.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVfLLTIWS1Rwhtf1GLf1eg1hgeZk_bvhvLcvwmE8ny5GSQ99d1daMy2ddlJ25_EcNelDZ_cg6bxh3FvumXHy8io1ivwjZIhGcLbFwxNnJzapwABWT-3p6C58Qz218BvKiF2qnTl7yh2ruUnRXrJ-cg-3iDqHxot5Cy3h7s0bZJiMVIZnmB_xtOofRqoSJh/w200-h400/%E6%B1%90%E7%95%99%E7%BE%8E%E8%A1%93%E9%A4%A8.JPG" /></a></span><br /></span> </p>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-70439885328665316622024-03-15T03:06:00.000-07:002024-03-15T03:06:47.771-07:00<p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;">3月7日(木曜日)2024</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>膳所焼美術館、春季特別展では9日まで膳所焼はもちろん江戸、明治、大正、昭和の雛人形を観ることができます。 <br /><br /><span> </span>At Zeze-yaki Museum, you are able to appreciate Hina Dolls of different eras, namely Edo, Meiji, Taisho and Showa. The museum is close to the second station from JR Ishiyama station and it has a very nice thatched roof gate. <br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>Museum director, Ms. Yukako Saito, explained about each Hina doll, potteries and tea utensils displayed at the museum. I learned many things from her explanation, for example, the display position of emperor and empress is different between Kyoto and other districts that were influenced by Edo Shogunate. There is a married lady among three official ladies who showed shaved eyebrows and this fact made me very surprised!<br /><br /> <span> </span>The Japanese garden, which has a thatched tea house, was beautiful and there was a stone wash basin which was called "Heat haze fountain". When water drops there, you hear a very clear small metallic sound which is called Suikinkutsu. It was very strange, but the reason for it is that there was a jar underneath which made that beautiful sound by echoing.<br /><br /> <span> </span>Zeze-yaki pottery and tea ceremony utensils in the museum were also very nice. Ms. Saito served Matcha tea for us with very nice Zeze-yaki pottery with which Hina doll was drawn. Children were excited answering the question.<br /><br /> <span> </span>After the reading, I asked the children if they had tails. They responded quickly " No!", others said "we used to have one". Anyhow, it is an early spring flower which has branches full of yellow flowers ahead of leaves. <br />In the fall, it has beautiful red fruits. <br /><br /> <span> </span>It was a cold rainy day but I was happy looking at the branches with these beautiful tiny yellow buds.<br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM9-g6jASrz4SGkJHHUVuvuDSXA6YzdgkNN8rzaDrlnqvm6NMk36hymaISc60z4BtRVyvnp7HrAr4rfPU_8ClrqnFNF1Tq4Eenm1txnuCECNlcU5U5YSiDR57vLpf5Ru6igFenTLdva8Fe9cRsh6GzD8DbCZOxV2NO-_UaQF616646cAQ8AWiecxXBxLn_/s4000/DSC_4838.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM9-g6jASrz4SGkJHHUVuvuDSXA6YzdgkNN8rzaDrlnqvm6NMk36hymaISc60z4BtRVyvnp7HrAr4rfPU_8ClrqnFNF1Tq4Eenm1txnuCECNlcU5U5YSiDR57vLpf5Ru6igFenTLdva8Fe9cRsh6GzD8DbCZOxV2NO-_UaQF616646cAQ8AWiecxXBxLn_/w200-h400/DSC_4838.JPG" /></a><br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf-wW5mlh-MrmxDJNydVTwzD0per0Ql4s2rKAoWhC9KlSqI8Ej4UmeyQwIyg2-rExGXNgDhZ00cbQ0UmrP2NxT_V3VXN0jVbCCt5zf4irxhymlgmx7iJi3i1ZTqQe2rAOzT6qwJIIvSRH1wiSLcaNNHuugv1kioY6u9j7-lQFlj6y9d5ynEicpDgpxyIDG/s4000/DSC_4830.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf-wW5mlh-MrmxDJNydVTwzD0per0Ql4s2rKAoWhC9KlSqI8Ej4UmeyQwIyg2-rExGXNgDhZ00cbQ0UmrP2NxT_V3VXN0jVbCCt5zf4irxhymlgmx7iJi3i1ZTqQe2rAOzT6qwJIIvSRH1wiSLcaNNHuugv1kioY6u9j7-lQFlj6y9d5ynEicpDgpxyIDG/w400-h200/DSC_4830.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPg2ZA4sqRQArBSIH-Lvp3hdMpDOT-yesJGZ6Z-R8x42nU4nCrhKWyTo9FCct9GnlXYhXyU-0Onv6Wzngtf62kklV60R7Vf8AzPfOc89oF5K4l3NiT3aGBoLCj8uIORtze7N6HiR0IP0J2FgVMFO-HIjxiatXAgzmh9wyxz3aGj91xnkg2KLyEUZaUKf8b/s4000/DSC_4831.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPg2ZA4sqRQArBSIH-Lvp3hdMpDOT-yesJGZ6Z-R8x42nU4nCrhKWyTo9FCct9GnlXYhXyU-0Onv6Wzngtf62kklV60R7Vf8AzPfOc89oF5K4l3NiT3aGBoLCj8uIORtze7N6HiR0IP0J2FgVMFO-HIjxiatXAgzmh9wyxz3aGj91xnkg2KLyEUZaUKf8b/w200-h400/DSC_4831.JPG" /></a></span></p>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-21587343326863835192024-03-04T10:53:00.000-08:002024-03-04T10:53:29.954-08:00<span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;">3月3日(日曜日)2024<br /><br /> 昨日は朝から雪が降ったり晴れたりの繰り返しで訳が分からなかったお天気が、今日は上天気、気持ちの良い1日でした。 <br /><br /><span> </span>Yesterday the weather was unstable and alternated between the snow falling and the sun shining repeatedly. I requested a compact car but they rented a bigger one instead because the smaller car was out of the office. I like driving but I should have paid special attention not to damage that unfamiliar car. <br /><br /> <span> </span>When I was looking for something I needed at the third shop which was a huge supermarket, I heard someone calling my name. I thought that it can't be true because I rarely went to that supermarket and I knew very limited people in the US. I looked towards the direction of the voice, and an American couple was looking at me. First, I wondered who they were, then I remembered that he was Mr. P.K. whom I was tutoring Japanese when I was working at Harvard Univ. and she was his wife, Ms.K.D. We haven't met each other for several decades. I was so surprised !!</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>At the time we first met, P was expected to go to Japan for his business, so he wanted to brush up his Japanese with me. They came to our wedding in Shiga.<br /><br /> <span> </span>In Boston, just before I was pregnant, they had a baby girl, so K taught many things about giving birth in the US. I was helped so much by her advice. After that, however, I lost touch with them. I met P in Boston many years ago, but again we had not contacted each other. P told me that he had been a president of the National Association of Japan-America Societies for many years and was awarded by the Japanese government for his contribution between the US and Japan. I heard this wonderful news from him during our short conversation in the supermarket.<br /><br /> <span> </span>I really appreciated that they found me in the crowded site. Waiter of the restaurant came to our table and poured the coconut juice and sarcocarp into the pan. I learned that if the coconut is young, the juice is clear but if it is ripe, the juice becomes opaque like coconut milk or oil. Some Jujube and wolfberries were already in the pan. Then, chunks of chicken were put in and we waited for several minutes. Then, taro and a kind of mushroom were put in after. It became a very good soup which I have never tasted in Japan. We also enjoyed Chinese green vegetables and lobster which were cut in pieces and seasoned with ginger and scallions. They were also so good!!<br /><br /> <span> </span>Everytime I come back to Boston, they take care of me like this and I haven't returned anything to them. I feel so bad about it but I really appreciate their warm support to me while I am running a cafe in an old Japanese house in the countryside.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEL33-pGiGHckgLBtHAQZN_DG7kkpzKxSFmlq_djM_IG60J2i_cwOUVVYo2Zg8NFNi3L9EWClBvLrGsEVQGkv3yp3ACvyyO8FfluGiesHxCC-njH8a0Cux4vhTbEvHipxZDmg3CBBauSOYLu65ZyJ5TXjTCF7ZVPpbtnR2DQGnn4E89rJwo9xe80z0BNeS/s4000/%E9%8D%8B%EF%BC%91.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEL33-pGiGHckgLBtHAQZN_DG7kkpzKxSFmlq_djM_IG60J2i_cwOUVVYo2Zg8NFNi3L9EWClBvLrGsEVQGkv3yp3ACvyyO8FfluGiesHxCC-njH8a0Cux4vhTbEvHipxZDmg3CBBauSOYLu65ZyJ5TXjTCF7ZVPpbtnR2DQGnn4E89rJwo9xe80z0BNeS/w400-h200/%E9%8D%8B%EF%BC%91.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgond6TEIulLnD6DAsvIHYgEMGsIvSbZXHX5lUbGZs21xSOkKMZRmEWHNynam1oHVFsDOQA621J5I7d1qsOMcQvA58ervxb9eYn1-nrAaxiqMIioJvVv4fXbSBiWlUfsRZ53g3uHwektV4JKAgLmPgTWPh46wnFeUG93np-t8qUVgRD65Ae4x0RA5QTsage/s4000/%E9%8D%8B%EF%BC%92.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgond6TEIulLnD6DAsvIHYgEMGsIvSbZXHX5lUbGZs21xSOkKMZRmEWHNynam1oHVFsDOQA621J5I7d1qsOMcQvA58ervxb9eYn1-nrAaxiqMIioJvVv4fXbSBiWlUfsRZ53g3uHwektV4JKAgLmPgTWPh46wnFeUG93np-t8qUVgRD65Ae4x0RA5QTsage/w400-h200/%E9%8D%8B%EF%BC%92.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDednYnCS8R7ckSJzubEN3tC2prpAcUNebhUbnyd_tharmeuhkcVQCe8TKOv_eHBhhgAcFisdpqs-_vvbucgsdzmta6ghvJ-tSXDg_vHabw6HnlrgU7hTST9AgnNCowuo0S0rtvpMxrpM1l3Qpcwq2LApJXCE15V8v9rmsAlLjhLa-XIhBNIVe9q3FWpIr/s4000/%E9%8D%8B%EF%BC%93.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDednYnCS8R7ckSJzubEN3tC2prpAcUNebhUbnyd_tharmeuhkcVQCe8TKOv_eHBhhgAcFisdpqs-_vvbucgsdzmta6ghvJ-tSXDg_vHabw6HnlrgU7hTST9AgnNCowuo0S0rtvpMxrpM1l3Qpcwq2LApJXCE15V8v9rmsAlLjhLa-XIhBNIVe9q3FWpIr/w400-h200/%E9%8D%8B%EF%BC%93.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUSMEoHKVIbTos-AZvU4dYd2NT0-RmFKwAh_C4UKu91Fzv0i11veDuDuMPYPFdKtC5_3idQVbVF2sJ6BXj3ecKd-0UWP2QJ1pRQAduOySyomWtzkQIBG6xrdenwpcHbVOHww2IBMiC4P-c1_KGjlOaFnJmtwThO5C5yZ8UYbrvAtGUKjdqRB-WgwtaxgTa/s4000/%E3%83%AD%E3%83%95%E3%82%99%E3%82%B9%E3%82%BF%E3%83%BC.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUSMEoHKVIbTos-AZvU4dYd2NT0-RmFKwAh_C4UKu91Fzv0i11veDuDuMPYPFdKtC5_3idQVbVF2sJ6BXj3ecKd-0UWP2QJ1pRQAduOySyomWtzkQIBG6xrdenwpcHbVOHww2IBMiC4P-c1_KGjlOaFnJmtwThO5C5yZ8UYbrvAtGUKjdqRB-WgwtaxgTa/w400-h200/%E3%83%AD%E3%83%95%E3%82%99%E3%82%B9%E3%82%BF%E3%83%BC.JPG" /></a></span></p><table cellpadding="0" class="cf gJ"><tbody><tr class="acZ"><td class="gF gK"><table cellpadding="0" class="cf ix"><tbody><tr><td class="c2"><br /></td></tr></tbody></table></td><td class="gH bAk"><br /></td></tr><tr class="acZ"><td class="gH"><br /></td><td class="gH acX bAm" rowspan="2"><br /></td></tr><tr class="acZ xD"></tr><tr class="acZ xD"><td colspan="3"><br /></td></tr></tbody></table>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-29225979412414360732024-02-18T09:00:00.000-08:002024-02-18T09:01:36.601-08:00<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;">2月15日(木曜日)2024</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span> </span>最近、日本でも紅茶を楽しむ傾向があり、コーヒを飲むけど紅茶も好きという人が増えているように思います。 Green Tea. The scenery of the area and people's looks haven't changed much in contrast to Japan, especially Tokyo. Subway and subway stations in Boston haven't been changed for several decades except the fee. But this time, I felt a little bit different. It has been changing here and there although I don't know whether they are getting better or worse. <br /><br /> <span> </span>I saw many shops and restaurants in the central area of the town closed and this shows how the economy is going worse. On the other hand, the city's library and skate rink were closed or shut down in order to make new ones. Recently the middle school and high school were newly built, and the city's pool was remodeled. I was surprised by the fact that more public buildings will be built in the near future. I think we cannot simply feel happy because it means our tax will be raised.<br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /> <span> </span>Although I feel the gas price hasn't risen much in the US, the commodity prices are getting higher. A box of tissue paper is $3.99 (¥600), a small pack of cosmetic cotton 2.99 (¥450), etc. We can get two packs of cotton in 100 yen shops in Japan. They all surprised me.<br /><br /> <span> </span>There are many people who are living comfortably or people who are living by cutting back on living expenses but I can say that we definitely belong in the latter group.<br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzhpgfommQbMGmxDlY8EFfHv4gwsSb4jsygYUmVSW7m7B-C6tJIOPy8YdaFA8JEUCT2Nip-ma4irnyp-fPK3dTMUtHa8nPcyYqiRtjkDitIaYX7Gxh6JaWgxgxK9FmbjKqUtLsoSMNtv6-xwhcWiaaKTXTaFLEKKAiACu_gSQKNNOHrrCEYkBeyMSMqejd/s4000/%E3%83%86%E3%82%A3%E3%83%83%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A5.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzhpgfommQbMGmxDlY8EFfHv4gwsSb4jsygYUmVSW7m7B-C6tJIOPy8YdaFA8JEUCT2Nip-ma4irnyp-fPK3dTMUtHa8nPcyYqiRtjkDitIaYX7Gxh6JaWgxgxK9FmbjKqUtLsoSMNtv6-xwhcWiaaKTXTaFLEKKAiACu_gSQKNNOHrrCEYkBeyMSMqejd/w400-h200/%E3%83%86%E3%82%A3%E3%83%83%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A5.JPG" /></a><br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkj6oF3VOCfpfsp-E-cGP67W2x5H_L5LnZgh-lxP7dwh0yzIAHLOLEnFO5hDMCNVtJ7LcdUXQ6i4hdpmCyctHaylUxOl0DC5BFn7wGLTfFZx79eh956IjG7GuUOn5KZVAn5J728AJHRXsPFo3KeV-XImrVi3Yl9-SUiTXzVsUdRC57765d_OqAVPGAjuTP/s4000/%E3%82%B3%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%E3%83%B3.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkj6oF3VOCfpfsp-E-cGP67W2x5H_L5LnZgh-lxP7dwh0yzIAHLOLEnFO5hDMCNVtJ7LcdUXQ6i4hdpmCyctHaylUxOl0DC5BFn7wGLTfFZx79eh956IjG7GuUOn5KZVAn5J728AJHRXsPFo3KeV-XImrVi3Yl9-SUiTXzVsUdRC57765d_OqAVPGAjuTP/w400-h200/%E3%82%B3%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%E3%83%B3.JPG" /></a><br /></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA9nZARYCu3CqqsbcHhVaCNLGPtg7nhhqEE1IXdhDsRid_zmh9Dhj2sXwMsAb3V_JFFZkR5t5CrkX2kx6b6EmU92tQZhbNgJFJvFnlAzGnG_jhEf_txgEDlmxohlFchFuYITPk5n-hgSwwWYUOcUOH7eDGQ_oVU26yWYhyy9FtGHPWb43305ZT_5pndRDj/s4000/%E3%82%B3%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%E3%83%B3%EF%BC%92.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA9nZARYCu3CqqsbcHhVaCNLGPtg7nhhqEE1IXdhDsRid_zmh9Dhj2sXwMsAb3V_JFFZkR5t5CrkX2kx6b6EmU92tQZhbNgJFJvFnlAzGnG_jhEf_txgEDlmxohlFchFuYITPk5n-hgSwwWYUOcUOH7eDGQ_oVU26yWYhyy9FtGHPWb43305ZT_5pndRDj/w200-h400/%E3%82%B3%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%E3%83%B3%EF%BC%92.JPG" /></a><br /></span><br /></span>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-53714364051028954142024-02-16T06:19:00.000-08:002024-02-16T06:20:07.992-08:00<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;">2月10日(金曜日)2024</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"> 一ヶ月ほど前にFBでクラウン・ロネが、宙に浮いてビルの間に挟まった二つの大きなクラウンの風船を紹介してくれて、それがボストンにあるというので行って見てきました。
one month ago, Clown Rone introduced me to an exhibition of two big
clown heads floating between the buildings. Since they are in Boston, I
went to see them. Getting off the train at the nearest station, when I
was walking down the street, I found small children gathering and clown
heads were in the area.</span></div><div dir="auto"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div dir="auto"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;">
The children were excited and adults were taking photos. There was an
explanation to answer everyone's question why clowns were there.
According to the explanation, the two clowns were Nagg and Nell who were
in the "Endgames" by Irish playwright Samuel Beckett (1906-1986).
Bothe Nagg and Nell didn't have legs and stayed in steel drums, but
those two were not set as clowns in the play. While my favorite clown,
Rone & Gigi are open and funny, Nagg and Nell are dark and
depressing characters. It is said that Beckett expressed absurdity in
his play. The two funny-faced clowns, Nagg and Nell, were stuck in the
narrow building space. It was creepy, in a way.</span></div><div dir="auto"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div dir="auto"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;">
When I was checking Endgame on the net, I found out that the play
appeared in Japan a couple decades ago. Makoto Sato directed and Negg
was played by Noboru Mitani and Nell was played by Misako Watanabe. Mr.
Mitani is a familiar name to me, because he came to our dramatic club
for teaching when I was in college and I went to his theater
performances a couple of times after graduation. We were well taken care
of by him and we even stayed at his house. I haven't contact him at all

The book I chose was "The fastest one in the world" from the science picture book "Friend of Science" and it was originally from "Faster and Faster" by Robert Froman.<br /><br /><span> </span>There were a series of comparisons to choose the fastest animal among all. Cheetah is the fastest animal on the surface but tuna is faster than cheetah and swallow is faster than tuna. Human beings are much slower than all those animals but people invented faster devices such as jets. Sound is faster than jet but rotation of the earth is much faster than sound. Artificial satellites and spacecraft are faster than the rotation of the earth, and the speed of the earth going around the sun is faster. The fastest one is light. Some kids knew that light is the fastest although they didn't know the ranking in the middle.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>Now the author said that there is something faster than light and that is our imagination. We can go to the stars which are at the end of the universe and go to the future world several hundred years ahead. <br /><br /><span> </span>After finishing the reading, I asked the children to close their eyes. I said "you are floating in the sea and this is an imaginary sea. There is no wall and you can go any place you want." The author says that let's take good care of this imaginary sea and swim freely." I saw that all the kids, even the teacher, closed their eyes.<br /><br /><span> </span>I am glad I could encounter such a fine book. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgK6tTzI8zvMc225dqfdnMO_zLUuysObQMy00Z5Q2HeAqnguk-pM2yWkHebXe8umJOYunKfKbFkr0q1XksTwX7s5vumAtDhbDmkHfOXOg_g2De4kP3ftHW7URgJES6svCzh3B8g-YHuEtw4_aWhgfYuPaGaYTYjpZmyAHMS8_E-gX4qBrenFX3n6aAxafG/s4000/%E8%A1%A8%E7%B4%99.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgK6tTzI8zvMc225dqfdnMO_zLUuysObQMy00Z5Q2HeAqnguk-pM2yWkHebXe8umJOYunKfKbFkr0q1XksTwX7s5vumAtDhbDmkHfOXOg_g2De4kP3ftHW7URgJES6svCzh3B8g-YHuEtw4_aWhgfYuPaGaYTYjpZmyAHMS8_E-gX4qBrenFX3n6aAxafG/w400-h200/%E8%A1%A8%E7%B4%99.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn3F7SqJ8zqxQTetD-oan8Uooa1a2goDx4ptHuFdFBPE-z8SaKFvyfWaTxE5ubY-owyIJmnFHA7ZNNPKpNQwrIJrRPfHrEMZqFkdVuHgsVj03wAB4q4ATSHMkB93WjYfpb_KuXT9TUaRH6TY8OyDNqbyZCDG4w4U94AUz18B5LsJOME17n468YiO0Y8ala/s4000/%E3%83%81%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BFvs%E3%81%BE%E3%81%8F%E3%82%99%E3%82%8D.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn3F7SqJ8zqxQTetD-oan8Uooa1a2goDx4ptHuFdFBPE-z8SaKFvyfWaTxE5ubY-owyIJmnFHA7ZNNPKpNQwrIJrRPfHrEMZqFkdVuHgsVj03wAB4q4ATSHMkB93WjYfpb_KuXT9TUaRH6TY8OyDNqbyZCDG4w4U94AUz18B5LsJOME17n468YiO0Y8ala/w400-h200/%E3%83%81%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BFvs%E3%81%BE%E3%81%8F%E3%82%99%E3%82%8D.JPG" /></a><br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;">1月25日(木曜日)2024</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"> 多賀町役場から大雪警報が出ていたために、夜のうちに雪かきをしておこうと二度ほど作業をしましたが、積雪はそれほどでもなくその時は雪も止んでいたので、このまま朝になるかと思いきや、私の見込みは甘かったようです。 <br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><span> </span>Since the town had announced a heavy snow warning, I eliminated snow several times during the night which accumulated in front of my house. It was not heavy at that time, so I thought it would not be so heavy. However, I realized that my prediction was off. <br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>More than 8 inches of snow had accumulated from where I shoveled last night. The snow melting pipes coming from the central part of the road were not working both at night and at 8 am. After a while at around 10 am, the water was coming and some part was clear on the road but it was only the center and both sides of the road were covered with drenched snow. Maybe because of avoiding the water pipe freeze, they had stopped running the water during the night.<br /><br /><span> </span>I prefer the past when we had a side-ditch on both sides of the road before the current road was made by taking off the ditch, because we could put accumulated snow in there so that it would melt away. It was really hard work for me to put all the wet snow on both sides of the house.<br /><br /><span> </span>I could do this work by myself now, but I wonder how long I can do it in the future. It is important to keep my muscles well for the future.<br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnDCPE44-f4DAsMvwehdXPZYX8KR6CTJFndVnMzWd3BLs5klgQpl8lgLRckKS1iMga3aBdMD4gU0eD8jpezBvJWy2ajTHw6xw03bpL2mvUw_RWe4dxB23AdeQLdLkCUAxL6tuYsh_f0_3LbxaZaI6HbcriJiO2UeoJeJxwFygjXAE2yT6egugOoK4lRAal/s4000/DSC_4737.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnDCPE44-f4DAsMvwehdXPZYX8KR6CTJFndVnMzWd3BLs5klgQpl8lgLRckKS1iMga3aBdMD4gU0eD8jpezBvJWy2ajTHw6xw03bpL2mvUw_RWe4dxB23AdeQLdLkCUAxL6tuYsh_f0_3LbxaZaI6HbcriJiO2UeoJeJxwFygjXAE2yT6egugOoK4lRAal/w400-h200/DSC_4737.JPG" /></a></span></p>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-14793528863530029932024-01-24T08:44:00.000-08:002024-01-24T08:44:39.236-08:00<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;">1月24日(水曜日)2024</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span> </span>クラウン・ロネ&ジージの緊急支援の期間が終わりました。インドでのロネの大怪我に続いてジージの左足骨折という前代未聞のダブルパンチで今後の活動が危ぶまれた二人でしたが、多くの、実に多くの方々の温かい力強い支援のおかげで、回復の兆しとともに元気に活動を続けています。今後更なるクラウンの魅力をロネジジらしい大らかな笑いで皆さんに届けてくれるでしょう。楽しみですね!<br /><br /> (以下、Rone and GigiのFBから)</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span> </span>フアンドが終了しました。『みんなのおかげでいまあるセサミ』は、2024年のスタートを好調な滑り出しで迎えておりますっ!日本の片隅のちびっこいクラウンたちを、こんなに温かく応援して見守ってくれる人がいる…これこそが奇跡だよ。ホント。<br /><br /><a href="http://blog.livedoor.jp/op_clown2/archives/52618412.html?fbclid=IwAR0JkmdEytrpqJUj9mr7mYQ792l8b6yGpRX0R7_eaoHsK_MsfrjUphPWn0U">http://blog.livedoor.jp/op_clown2/archives/52618412.html?fbclid=IwAR0JkmdEytrpqJUj9mr7mYQ792l8b6yGpRX0R7_eaoHsK_MsfrjUphPWn0U</a><br /></span></span><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><span> </span>Clown duo, RONE & Gigi Emergency Relief Project was over as of Jan. 21st 2024. I am glad to see their clown show with a big and happy laugh.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><a href="https://roneandgigi.com/emergency2024/6545/?fbclid=IwAR3hmqRxzmwV0iHkQBoNgaw3LUWzjVEflzDpLdMYJqRuQDRV1ZzQayWJgXA">https://roneandgigi.com/emergency2024/6545/</a></span></p>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-53077100439152643292024-01-21T08:16:00.000-08:002024-01-21T08:16:41.460-08:00<p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;">1月20日(土曜日)2024</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>19日は毎年絵馬通りに獅子舞がやってくる日で、昨日もお昼を過ぎて笛・太鼓・カネの音が近づいて我が家にもお獅子がきてくれました。 <br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><span> </span>January 19th is the day the Shishi-mai troupe comes to our neighbourhood every year. The troupe was approaching with the flute, drum, bell and finally a big Shishi (lion) came into my cafe. Customers and I all welcome the troupe.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>Now, I found very special persimmons at the morning market. It is called "Sawashi-gaki". I felt a little strange because persimmons usually appear in the fall but it is January and out of season. A local cash register woman told me that they were astringent persimmons but had already removed bitterness and became sweet. I purchased them and ate one of them. Wow, it was so sweet and good! According to the net information, Shochuu (distilled spirits) was inserted into the calyx of each one and stayed for a certain number of days. Nobody likes astringent persimmons like even wild monkeys hate them. I admire human's brain changing an astringent persimmon into such a sweet wonderful one.<br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-67S8owsAnBpa2Ks944ztzOkdOk8P0tBmY4hs3JjhPi2nFO1LMSSEkg4HPWeYl2eNbHv73IKsSDzAWt-vcX_vaKzADZAZCMsrgbBT8Y2dtfFWCDt2H9s53DErnoQIpijYYGMkJjacGxdfsSuX7xkgs_7iRceagVj2pMd38Z_FM2ClLWAVCPD-x5XnYBF9/s4000/%E7%8D%85%E5%AD%90%E8%88%9E%EF%BC%91.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-67S8owsAnBpa2Ks944ztzOkdOk8P0tBmY4hs3JjhPi2nFO1LMSSEkg4HPWeYl2eNbHv73IKsSDzAWt-vcX_vaKzADZAZCMsrgbBT8Y2dtfFWCDt2H9s53DErnoQIpijYYGMkJjacGxdfsSuX7xkgs_7iRceagVj2pMd38Z_FM2ClLWAVCPD-x5XnYBF9/w400-h200/%E7%8D%85%E5%AD%90%E8%88%9E%EF%BC%91.JPG" /></a><br /></span> <span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHsk_8_2u-4qoqMDDQHaavMXuHQ6m8UkzT5L84AZipWbYN1agItR_gq0ES45-xyAna-SWnKGZ3bNZ1YiGU0MsD59vSRKecc6R73E4-_nL60BhWiSb3KLyTW4VJeuxQ5rI_EsAUKCxWe23Jms_x5dderT8Fw1LVGst4ZUxLxnlhOJmk32a-iHYuwUW0PbUy/s4000/%E7%8D%85%E5%AD%90%E8%88%9E%EF%BC%92.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHsk_8_2u-4qoqMDDQHaavMXuHQ6m8UkzT5L84AZipWbYN1agItR_gq0ES45-xyAna-SWnKGZ3bNZ1YiGU0MsD59vSRKecc6R73E4-_nL60BhWiSb3KLyTW4VJeuxQ5rI_EsAUKCxWe23Jms_x5dderT8Fw1LVGst4ZUxLxnlhOJmk32a-iHYuwUW0PbUy/w400-h200/%E7%8D%85%E5%AD%90%E8%88%9E%EF%BC%92.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha5gojoqOf8DxdueEjWENv8DYFEt4sG1-pg5H0f5TSpV1ScGH65-nMYcC0SBrzc3ko-OQ2FleCqwaMzrB9fA6389QXZC7uzDjPAWkr5xSBjYJ2s38mX2tI59i_PzUANt1Q0aVhpYSjA6IYbjNiSZGSAXzqtwYEeSa1VtmtG5msN3pGwZ_yvaJb-CG35lo3/s4000/%E3%81%95%E3%82%8F%E3%81%97%E6%9F%BF%EF%BC%92.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha5gojoqOf8DxdueEjWENv8DYFEt4sG1-pg5H0f5TSpV1ScGH65-nMYcC0SBrzc3ko-OQ2FleCqwaMzrB9fA6389QXZC7uzDjPAWkr5xSBjYJ2s38mX2tI59i_PzUANt1Q0aVhpYSjA6IYbjNiSZGSAXzqtwYEeSa1VtmtG5msN3pGwZ_yvaJb-CG35lo3/w400-h200/%E3%81%95%E3%82%8F%E3%81%97%E6%9F%BF%EF%BC%92.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Lys0JJdI8VtvtA59KUqyrpzZszO0gVDNMrYazl3d3aoD6QG3wZrEY4Oe6rw07TJINyqEgUM65Yw27tiKSIQUBynT38a5wEpcsUR6bGpu7Odc4jRsxQK0LZvUlW9tq2H-U5nCOHRjBGumpUwnihw6SN9se_m6xIWOMxyhUACq5jRTAVo7-UpimJji1kqr/s4000/%E3%81%95%E3%82%8F%E3%81%97%E6%9F%BF.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Lys0JJdI8VtvtA59KUqyrpzZszO0gVDNMrYazl3d3aoD6QG3wZrEY4Oe6rw07TJINyqEgUM65Yw27tiKSIQUBynT38a5wEpcsUR6bGpu7Odc4jRsxQK0LZvUlW9tq2H-U5nCOHRjBGumpUwnihw6SN9se_m6xIWOMxyhUACq5jRTAVo7-UpimJji1kqr/w200-h400/%E3%81%95%E3%82%8F%E3%81%97%E6%9F%BF.JPG" /></a><br /></span><br /></span><span dir="auto"></span></p>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-13056081873656717382024-01-19T22:42:00.000-08:002024-01-20T04:10:20.467-08:00<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;">1月18日(木曜日)2024 </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span> </span>朝から小降りながらも私にとっては無情の雨。 それでもほっと一息、美味しく頂きました!<br /></span></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>It was a rainy day in the morning which made me depressed. In the rain, I went to Taga Junior Highschool which stands on the hill by bike for storytelling. Even though I was riding an electric assist bicycle and I set the lowest gear, it was still hard to go up the hill. I read "After 100 years" by Mutsumi Ishii which had the theme of grand reincarnation. I, however, got good results that my left hip joint didn't get worse and the doctor said that I could get the prescription at the nearest clinic if I need to and I don't need to come to the hospital which is very far from my home.<br /><br /><span> </span>On my way back home, I stopped by a bookstore, pharmacy and two supermarkets to buy necessary things. In Japan many people send New Year's postcards with lottery numbers. Ahead of the announcement of the lottery number by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the local department store announced their own lottery number using the same postcard and gave discount tickets such as 30% off or 20% off at the department store.. I hit several 30% tickets and 20% tickets. Today was the only day that I could go to the store before the expiration date, but the weather was not good for me to go out by bike. So I decided to use a local discount taxi which is not a regular taxi and because of several limitations to use that taxi, I had to go to the railway station to get on it.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>Since snow-melting water was coming from the central part of the street, I could walk toward the station with rain boots, but when I came just near the station, I was very surprised because there was no water drainage system, and snow was not eliminated in front of the station. I felt sorry for the people from the train and went to Taga Taisha through the street. If the station master was in the station, he would have managed this problem but no station staff is there. I don't know who has the responsibility to eliminate the snow in that area. It should be solved as soon as possible. I am ashamed that the problem remains unresolved still now.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>I took a photo of the area but the snow was already melted when I came back from shopping.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJkDLsk_0QtXfXrGg_1JSjVkDQarUCadbX9OPZrvAZHfqnkhPasp_OEDX7VILDMzgUKVLuFuM9KIBlzIRw-TXOMpXH4z4mhI3QdtSgw4AJrTtn_z4Kj47gu6DLo6WmP8H3CI-Vp-6ewL3sCpy_DKALRGsqrHqUAGuov5DrS-tmkvMHeo7yvB-P96w6t5Fd/s1112/%E5%B9%B3%E5%92%8C%E5%A0%82%E5%89%B2%E5%BC%95.png"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJkDLsk_0QtXfXrGg_1JSjVkDQarUCadbX9OPZrvAZHfqnkhPasp_OEDX7VILDMzgUKVLuFuM9KIBlzIRw-TXOMpXH4z4mhI3QdtSgw4AJrTtn_z4Kj47gu6DLo6WmP8H3CI-Vp-6ewL3sCpy_DKALRGsqrHqUAGuov5DrS-tmkvMHeo7yvB-P96w6t5Fd/w206-h400/%E5%B9%B3%E5%92%8C%E5%A0%82%E5%89%B2%E5%BC%95.png" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMkUdneL2RyO-EycEXQHu31IaTBu8KxL7IT_Z96-4cdgxjo5sTLKdeaYbc4yc6YIu4_l4kFcqqem4CKEnnUoYJe-MAv8KcW6biDGuOB_ejVyfHxg3lcyCfbQH-NymWaS4G5NFMCOycwF5Bfnyyj9a7omCaO_AWkDEtNi6qLE-EgewE1AD3lyzybW9I90Az/s4000/%E9%A7%85%E5%89%8D.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMkUdneL2RyO-EycEXQHu31IaTBu8KxL7IT_Z96-4cdgxjo5sTLKdeaYbc4yc6YIu4_l4kFcqqem4CKEnnUoYJe-MAv8KcW6biDGuOB_ejVyfHxg3lcyCfbQH-NymWaS4G5NFMCOycwF5Bfnyyj9a7omCaO_AWkDEtNi6qLE-EgewE1AD3lyzybW9I90Az/w400-h200/%E9%A7%85%E5%89%8D.JPG" /></a></span><br /></p>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-67072743824197387722024-01-10T08:43:00.000-08:002024-01-10T08:43:26.728-08:00<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;">1月4日(木曜日)2024</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span> </span>新年が始まって、いきなり能登での大地震と飛行機事故のニュース。 <br /></span></span> <span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /><span> </span>Just soon after the new year started, we had a big earthquake in Noto Peninsula (Japan sea coastal area) and an awful airplane accident at Haneda airport in Tokyo. Then I could take the day off on the fourth day. <br /><br /><span> </span>I found a little white box in my mailbox. Earthenware bell shaped dragon from Taga-Taisha, which is a symbol of this year, was inside the box. Instantly I knew that it was a gift from Mr. N who is honorary chief priest of Taga taisha. Every year, I receive his kind gift of the earthenware zodiac bell. I felt sorry for not serving coffee to him because of closing the cafe. <br /><br /><span> </span>Dragon is the fifth symbol of the zodiac and it is the only one which is an imaginary creature. There are several reasons for me to do so. First, I go to a shrine at the end of the year rather than on the first day of the year because I have no time to run my cafe on new year's days which are the busiest days in the year. Second, I want to avoid crowds of people who visit the shrine to make wishes for the new year. However, this time, I decided to go to the shrine at midnight.<br /><br /><span> </span>When I went to Taga Taisha, many people had already gathered there. Most of them were younger. However, they were not moving toward the front of the shrine and I wondered why. Since I wanted to go to the center to pray, I reached there weaving my way through a crowd and finished praying by offering some money. Then, I felt something weird because people nearby were not praying nor throwing money, and they were just standing or looking at their cell phones there. I didn't know what was going on, so I stayed a little longer to know what would happen next. It was 11:58 in the midnight and soon after, I heard a big drum sound to let the people know it started the new year. I saw all people started throwing their money into the offering area and praying in a shinto way. It was just like Countdown in the US and I had never seen such a sight in the shrine. It was very strange for me.<br /><br /><span> </span>I went home thinking about my next visit to the shrine at the end of 2024. I prefer visiting earlier like I had been doing because I have more quiet time to pray and thank God for the year passing safely.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHdGPEAfLN08EodNlDtbCrhsWIIuPKl0F1M1YW-t4MKnH9zQWVFZaQrQDnHdAvj2-fLkdPJRoveErQbyuDroN4aSCBIFpL2KhBF1-ov7XIaKTKmGRm-E9DieMZDmsRLiJjWAco5sKY266IZko91UKa5MOMKopJrPwLUJragTMibmwceiTUhu0_QzBdg7XN/s4000/%EF%BC%91%E6%8B%9D%E6%AE%BF%E3%81%97%E3%81%9F.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHdGPEAfLN08EodNlDtbCrhsWIIuPKl0F1M1YW-t4MKnH9zQWVFZaQrQDnHdAvj2-fLkdPJRoveErQbyuDroN4aSCBIFpL2KhBF1-ov7XIaKTKmGRm-E9DieMZDmsRLiJjWAco5sKY266IZko91UKa5MOMKopJrPwLUJragTMibmwceiTUhu0_QzBdg7XN/w400-h200/%EF%BC%91%E6%8B%9D%E6%AE%BF%E3%81%97%E3%81%9F.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfkoKLkvSytySq6Q5H_aTQu6kIndsWulKtVTYNOiGwz0OTHDPPQDoI7zE29p8wwrh6bXNYawS1zZe-IabTJBuDS-3pEFOWK5tjEKJusR0X5YMv4BlLs01jkF3A6qMtnD4L1CEVPBUaek-KBbDSSsA9bCitHj-6GkDzXtA3jN8hH8OWw5wYtNCda4qI7xQy/s4000/%EF%BC%92%E3%81%97%E3%82%81%E3%81%AA%E3%82%8F.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfkoKLkvSytySq6Q5H_aTQu6kIndsWulKtVTYNOiGwz0OTHDPPQDoI7zE29p8wwrh6bXNYawS1zZe-IabTJBuDS-3pEFOWK5tjEKJusR0X5YMv4BlLs01jkF3A6qMtnD4L1CEVPBUaek-KBbDSSsA9bCitHj-6GkDzXtA3jN8hH8OWw5wYtNCda4qI7xQy/w400-h200/%EF%BC%92%E3%81%97%E3%82%81%E3%81%AA%E3%82%8F.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcieNTogjI8XaRk6IAkFdPCwbsjk3o0jHk0DSUGJyvD72IIUQl-VBQFcBRba4d1xyDS4zNri15C7nWrDUB3kARWQuvb7dJbIhGrbjedwdtWHH0H8aBCA5RT5ceNkvlSM_qoF5gn-8Udn_725xUFCcStJGE6U2gNRmWUfXuui0n9EGWqGTiaHk9m_HNBQIY/s4000/%EF%BC%93%E7%A5%9E%E7%A4%BE%E5%A2%83%E5%86%85.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcieNTogjI8XaRk6IAkFdPCwbsjk3o0jHk0DSUGJyvD72IIUQl-VBQFcBRba4d1xyDS4zNri15C7nWrDUB3kARWQuvb7dJbIhGrbjedwdtWHH0H8aBCA5RT5ceNkvlSM_qoF5gn-8Udn_725xUFCcStJGE6U2gNRmWUfXuui0n9EGWqGTiaHk9m_HNBQIY/w400-h200/%EF%BC%93%E7%A5%9E%E7%A4%BE%E5%A2%83%E5%86%85.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgh-pNmvruK_WnHKsMpHFkQ50O-FdTd2G3RkHxK71LzCKSWtP7v1_0BFOpHstVoi6KHAWLZNhP5zK6UN7qFqJBxBKOY5_ZRZ6PJYYaXUK7JbtUtIu-p2adf5ZS_HXCSH8f79ingqxa3Hwvim6Vin_YpZ1J_f6XfZsgAjMdrPk5kG-FRuxb_c7-TftFHprZC/s4000/%EF%BC%94%E5%A2%83%E5%86%85%EF%BC%92.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgh-pNmvruK_WnHKsMpHFkQ50O-FdTd2G3RkHxK71LzCKSWtP7v1_0BFOpHstVoi6KHAWLZNhP5zK6UN7qFqJBxBKOY5_ZRZ6PJYYaXUK7JbtUtIu-p2adf5ZS_HXCSH8f79ingqxa3Hwvim6Vin_YpZ1J_f6XfZsgAjMdrPk5kG-FRuxb_c7-TftFHprZC/w400-h200/%EF%BC%94%E5%A2%83%E5%86%85%EF%BC%92.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7ci8ApE4Z_o45vw2SzZ0ogSJ6BRKNHwhAdhAKXs66qMEdcXEXji-UZtcwf6QSPOgo1Fa6lxKJS6kp9RexJJjiA6HtdT7biaukeszMDYKfxYH5rbBjZfraBPmqCYJ5BMTmJ2KKrLhCMnpIX1jqEse6FGrEXmWnTJKrGiYg48qL89oAHhKuA0ZwJGu4vvZv/s4000/%EF%BC%95%E6%89%8B%E6%B4%97%E3%81%84%E5%A0%B4%E6%89%80.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7ci8ApE4Z_o45vw2SzZ0ogSJ6BRKNHwhAdhAKXs66qMEdcXEXji-UZtcwf6QSPOgo1Fa6lxKJS6kp9RexJJjiA6HtdT7biaukeszMDYKfxYH5rbBjZfraBPmqCYJ5BMTmJ2KKrLhCMnpIX1jqEse6FGrEXmWnTJKrGiYg48qL89oAHhKuA0ZwJGu4vvZv/w400-h200/%EF%BC%95%E6%89%8B%E6%B4%97%E3%81%84%E5%A0%B4%E6%89%80.JPG" /></a></span><br /></p>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033712654924849525.post-16399710377351203772023-12-30T01:24:00.000-08:002023-12-30T01:24:22.059-08:00<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;">12月28日(木曜日)2023 <br /></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span> </span>ロネとジージのクラウン・ライブが27日、28日に東京であり、埼玉での別の友人の劇団公演もあったので、応援を兼ねて時間差で観に行ってきました。 <br /><a href="https://roneandgigi.com/helpneeded2024/6350/?fbclid=IwAR1PXx5zKcTY30tCFrUZJbNLKe4QGl53DGEf-o2N6PGWnMg_P_SL7l2XSZ4">https://roneandgigi.com/helpneeded2024/6350/?fbclid=IwAR1PXx5zKcTY30tCFrUZJbNLKe4QGl53DGEf-o2N6PGWnMg_P_SL7l2XSZ4</a><br /></span></span><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /><span> </span>RONE & Gigi's clown live was held on Dec. 27th and 28th in Tokyo. Since I had another stage which I wanted to support, organized by another friend in Saitama, I went to two theaters on the 27th. <br /><br /><span> </span>As I explained before, Rone & Gigi had serious accidents individually this fall and they couldn't predict their schedule, so they needed to start crowdfunding for support. Last September, before their accidents, all their stages were full of seats because Rone & Gigi were introduced in the popular newspaper and it got many people's attention and many people came to their show. They were in great condition at that time and decided to have extra performances in December. Then Rone had a serious accident in India, and Gigi had a fracture next. Since they both love to be clowns, they wanted to perform their show and to respond to the support for them. They concentrated on rehearsing for the show in December. <br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>It was the first time for me to watch the full version of the show in Tokyo, I enjoyed it 100%. However, the two clowns haven't recovered from their fractures completely yet, and it must have hurt. Rone and Gigi performed comical clowning one after another, sang songs and dances, getting laughter from the audience. I admired that they were really entertainers. <br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>There was a small time for them to talk after the show. Then they said " we saw heaven and hell this fall". I wish for them warm support and to be able to say that they overcame crises as they enter into the new year. <a href="https://roneandgigi.com/emergency2024/6545/?fbclid=IwAR3hmqRxzmwV0iHkQBoNgaw3LUWzjVEflzDpLdMYJqRuQDRV1ZzQayWJgXA">https://roneandgigi.com/emergency2024/6545/</a><br /></span> <span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>ところで、神社のしめ縄。ネット情報では「神の領域と現世を分け隔てる『結界』として不純なものが入るのを防ぐ役目を担うもの」とありました。いつも何気なくしめ縄の下を通って参拝していましたが、神聖な場所に踏み入れているのですね。貴重な神社の暮れの風物が見られたと感謝しています。</span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>When I visited Taga Taisha (shrine) yesterday、 I could see the preparations for welcoming the new year here and there. Then, I saw an interesting custom of the shrine. It was annual work of replacing Shimenawa (sacred rope of the Shinto) by the staff of the shrine. Although the sun shined sometimes, the wind was cold and it seemed the work was not easy. Two men carried the big Shimenawa which was tied to bamboo and put it on the beam of the entrance. Then they put four big Gohei (strips of white paper) into the Shimenawa. Up until putting the Gohei, it took so much time and I couldn't keep watching and I went home because of the cold weather. When I went to the shrine later, the new Shmenawa was beautifully attached.<br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><span> </span>By the way, why is Shimenawa put there ? It is a barrier between God's realm and the present world which contains various impure things. Without knowing this, I had been standing in the area and praying to God up until then. I am grateful to see this precious annual custom of the shrine.</span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrOZBJEUuSFUjxqXUV8qBhgknUW159FijnX7-ZZ0Cpk1u8CfQol9GRMuS42GFbRC0cOtLZhbx_G-oKQzOhYKkbamkSC9A8g1mmY_r3w6ONH-aAR3a2lsMTFK4yG3ohyphenhyphen7JSG38EDYPLZ-YkxRKKr-SyrGKMEnJZFQHWv5OwWrzv39WKrGaN0e_2fjBPavn8/s4000/%E5%A4%9A%E8%B3%80%E5%A4%A7%E7%A4%BE%E9%96%80%E6%9D%BE.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrOZBJEUuSFUjxqXUV8qBhgknUW159FijnX7-ZZ0Cpk1u8CfQol9GRMuS42GFbRC0cOtLZhbx_G-oKQzOhYKkbamkSC9A8g1mmY_r3w6ONH-aAR3a2lsMTFK4yG3ohyphenhyphen7JSG38EDYPLZ-YkxRKKr-SyrGKMEnJZFQHWv5OwWrzv39WKrGaN0e_2fjBPavn8/w400-h200/%E5%A4%9A%E8%B3%80%E5%A4%A7%E7%A4%BE%E9%96%80%E6%9D%BE.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhA-0nmO7jOhh1RXKMK_mYmNXIGbg9GIcPFn5sC5r9UeJX5kUnWrNHLWxoDWQ69bHPn2Fqdd_27_yvaprO6zt7Wo9ZaqGkSvwoslPYoH3MhbYzd9DPHMa2Oglby3Sx739vbz9hOtMJE9ASbUVWWVmkPWJaK2l8EyFLvoA9h30hG2c7-nCoxfTwDJiNLNHH2/s4000/%E3%81%97%E3%82%81%E7%B8%84%EF%BC%91.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhA-0nmO7jOhh1RXKMK_mYmNXIGbg9GIcPFn5sC5r9UeJX5kUnWrNHLWxoDWQ69bHPn2Fqdd_27_yvaprO6zt7Wo9ZaqGkSvwoslPYoH3MhbYzd9DPHMa2Oglby3Sx739vbz9hOtMJE9ASbUVWWVmkPWJaK2l8EyFLvoA9h30hG2c7-nCoxfTwDJiNLNHH2/w400-h200/%E3%81%97%E3%82%81%E7%B8%84%EF%BC%91.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimID1M8Tt1CCGOPBVKfZj7szgFpO8FN26vcxIbd_y4NtUV158JPtbbpUjqFPl600R8UpzYKmV1l9xF4JLcZXhVOHixOdnaOFwiOkQup74RuJuMrCP56gd4IvSECmcHXP9kPacd_vupdFYxZ-c4yVip2r7zbJRyZhltH3FCuwdp0A10kOI9XZ4tWkac3EVV/s4000/%E3%81%97%E3%82%81%E7%B8%84%EF%BC%92.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimID1M8Tt1CCGOPBVKfZj7szgFpO8FN26vcxIbd_y4NtUV158JPtbbpUjqFPl600R8UpzYKmV1l9xF4JLcZXhVOHixOdnaOFwiOkQup74RuJuMrCP56gd4IvSECmcHXP9kPacd_vupdFYxZ-c4yVip2r7zbJRyZhltH3FCuwdp0A10kOI9XZ4tWkac3EVV/w400-h200/%E3%81%97%E3%82%81%E7%B8%84%EF%BC%92.JPG" /></a><a href="#"><br /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcHjaG68zg3OvQYKcnBHZCJ946bOg6QP_eVXmUNPuiUcLKDFkDigmU67Vtha-EDANBuVuMtMm4gv7SePGa2SVdlhfubNG-asui1pEzv-mS01UvohY1y_-ar-vlk48pxyKdYPysNrazi_-yW1vwpEvC7w3Fpu8q-m-eEKLmagCisQ2XNE04XMAxQMvTguqU/s4000/%E3%81%97%E3%82%81%E7%B8%84%E5%AE%8C%E6%88%90.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcHjaG68zg3OvQYKcnBHZCJ946bOg6QP_eVXmUNPuiUcLKDFkDigmU67Vtha-EDANBuVuMtMm4gv7SePGa2SVdlhfubNG-asui1pEzv-mS01UvohY1y_-ar-vlk48pxyKdYPysNrazi_-yW1vwpEvC7w3Fpu8q-m-eEKLmagCisQ2XNE04XMAxQMvTguqU/w400-h200/%E3%81%97%E3%82%81%E7%B8%84%E5%AE%8C%E6%88%90.JPG" /></a><br /></span></span></p><table cellpadding="0" class="cf gJ"><tbody><tr class="acZ"><td class="gH bAk"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /></span></td></tr><tr class="acZ"><td class="gH"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /></span></td><td class="gH acX bAm" rowspan="2"><span style="font-family: times; font-size: small;"><br /></span></td></tr><tr class="acZ xD"></tr><tr class="acZ xD"><td colspan="3"><br /></td></tr></tbody></table>taga.asahiyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06175126660217751236noreply@blogger.com
